Retail managers are responsible for the day-to-day running of stores or departments. The aim of any retail manager is to maximise profits while minimising costs.

Retail managers ensure promotions are run accurately and to the company's standards. They make sure that staff are all working towards the target for the day and that excellent customer care standards are met at all times.

Depending on the size of the store, and company structure, retail managers may also be required to deal with: customer service; finance; human resources; information technology; logistics and marketing.

Qualified Retail Manager

To become a qualified retail manager in our association, members have to pass our certification exam.  Our high-quality exams are designed to ensure maximum value to the members and the hospitality industry.

The exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions that must be answered. All test questions are designed to test the candidate's mastery of various competencies derived from key areas of knowledge in combination with skills practiced. The key areas of testing are:
